H2 AIR TANK - CUP: C89J24000810003

National Recovery and Resilience Plan Mission 4 - Component 2 - INVESTMENT 1.4
Project Title
H2 AIR TANK
CUP Code C89J24000810003
Implementing entity CN MOST - National entre for sustainable mobility
Main objective of the operation The aim of the project consisted in the study, design and construction of a 700bar gaseous hydrogen storage system to supply fuel cells in an electric propulsion line for an innovative light aircraft. The resulting storage system consists of a composite cylinder, an On Tank Valve (OTV), a T-connector with pressure sensor, a Hydrogen Filling Receptacle (HFR) and appropriate piping and connectors. In addition to the physical system, Simulink models representing the operation of the various system components were developed as part of the project. These models can be integrated into the overall model of the fuel cell system, allowing its functional behaviour to be simulated under conditions of interest. The components used were adapted from existing parts suitable for use at high pressure (700 bar) in the context of sustainable mobility. These parts, after being appropriately characterised, were integrated into a gaseous H2 storage system. The storage system was then integrated with the distribution system subsequently tested according to the target requirements.
