Project Title

AIR H2 TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

CUP Code

C89J24000840003

Implementing Party

CN MOST - National Centre for sustainable mobility

Main objective of the operation

The result of the project consists in the study, design and construction of a distribution system of hydrogen gas at 700bar to supply fuel cells in an electric propulsion line for an innovative light aircraft. The resulting distribution system consists of a pressure regulator, a Shut Off Valve (SOV), a pressure sensor and appropriate piping and connectors. In addition to the physical system, Simulink models representing the operation of the various system components were developed as part of the project. These models can be integrated into the overall model of the fuel cell system, allowing its functional behaviour to be simulated under conditions of interest. The components used were adapted from existing parts suitable for use at high pressure (700 bar) in the context of sustainable mobility. After being appropriately characterised, these parts were integrated into a gaseous H2 distribution system. The distribution system was then integrated with the storage system and subsequently according to the target requirements.
